1. Basic Approach

At Life Design Studio, our basic principle is to collect as little information from you as possible. Below, we explain this in a little more detail.

2. The Values You Enter into the Simulator

We expect this is the part you care about most, so let us be careful here. The figures you enter into the simulator (/simulator) — your age, annual income, living expenses, investment amounts, and so on — are processed entirely within your own browser and are not sent to any server. We, the operators, do not receive or store any of your input whatsoever.

For your convenience when you return, your input values are saved in your browser's localStorage. This is stored only within the same browser on the same device, and is never sent externally. If you wish to delete it, you can use your browser's "clear site data" feature.

3. Access Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

To get a rough sense of how the site is used, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4). GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies to measure access as aggregate figures. The information we send is limited to aggregate events such as page transitions, step completions, and share clicks; the specific figures you enter into the simulator (your income, savings, and so on) are not sent to GA4.

If you wish to stop using GA4, you can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. About Advertising

To help cover the costs of keeping the site running over the long term, we may use third-party advertising services (such as Google AdSense). Advertising providers may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your past visits to websites.

To maintain neutrality, Life Design Studio has set the following categories of advertising to be excluded from delivery:

• Banks, securities firms, FX, and cryptocurrency exchanges
• Home loans, card loans, and consumer finance
• Financial products such as mutual funds, stocks, and bonds
• Insurance (life insurance, medical insurance, educational endowment insurance, etc.)
• Real estate investment and REITs

This is set up in two ways: through Google AdSense's blocking controls, and through a meta tag on the site side (data-blocked-categories). The aim is to avoid the sales bias of financial products and to protect the neutrality of the simulator.

If you wish to disable ad personalization by Google, you can change it from Ads Settings.

5. Cookies

This site may use cookies for GA4 and for advertising delivery. Even if you refuse to accept cookies through your browser settings, you can still use the core functions of the simulator without any problems.

6. Information from the Contact Form

The email address and inquiry content submitted through the contact form (/contact) are used solely for the purpose of replying, and are not provided to third parties. After our reply is complete, we delete them within a reasonable period.

7. Provision to Third Parties

Except as required by law, we do not provide the personal information entrusted to us to any third party.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be changed without prior notice. If there are significant changes, we will announce them on the site.
